Michelle is a singer song writer and spent the majority of her life leading worship at a local church. Her desire is to have people experience the presence of The Lord through worship. She began her career as an artist however, through a variety of unfortunate circumstances she landed in a small church here in Tri-Cities Washington.
The next 10 years Michelle Lead worship for a church plant that grew to approximately 400 members. Michelle soon was made the Worship Director and grew the worship department from the ground up to a team of about 50 people. Michelle developed a strong influence among all the church members by focusing on the Lord first. She knew that if she was going to use her voice that it had to be for The Lord. Michelle developed a sweet heart for worship and it was here where her true sound was founded and developed.
She feels there is no greater honor than to sing and worship with every fiber of her being. She views her voice as an instrument to bless others so that when she sings people hear her life and soul.
Over the years Michelle developed a relationship with Bob Nash the President of Gather 4 Him Christian College and Gathering Records. She was the main worship artist for a regional youth event called, “The Gathering.” The event grew over a 12 year period to approximately 10,000 teens that represented 70-100 churches. It was there that Michelle signed her first recording agreement with Gathering records and her songs were a part of a compilation CD with Integrity Music. The compilation CD included the following artists: Desperation band, Lincoln Brewster, Tree 63, and many other great Christian artists.
She has also had the opportunity to lead Worship at Creation NW and open on the mains stage at the Gorge in George, Washington. Michelle Jarrett and Prevail just released their new CD, “Alive.” They have performed locally for the Father/Daughter Ball, opened for Bandon Heath and were a featured artist at Creation NW Main Stage and Creation Plus stage. Most recently, Michelle was asked to do a full length video for TBN and Juce TV which will be aired nationally.
Michelle loves to use her voice to bring honor and Glory to her King Jesus regardless of the stage or crowd size. She believes her voice is a gift and an instrument to bring honor and glory to God. It is her life assignment to use her voice to lead others in the presence of God and bring a true atmosphere of worship. It is her heart and her prayer that every time people worship with Prevail, they would be moved and changed by the power of the Holy Spirit through their music.”
Mike is the lead guitarist for Prevail. He was born and raised in the Tri-Cities, WA where he fell in love with the guitar at age 13. After high school he toured the West Coast in various bands for a long time until his poor choices and deviant lifestyle caught up with him. That’s when Jesus saved him. Shorty thereafter, Mike started playing guitar in the local church worship band and eventually lead worship. Mike believes that worship is one of the times that God reaches in and changes our character. His main desire is that everyone would get the opportunity to go deep with Jesus during worship and he feels extremely blessed to be a small part of the process.
Matthew is a man of many talents! Not only does he play the drums for Prevail he also plays any instrument that you put in his hands. It all started with the drum set that he got when he was just 2 years old. He would clean them just like his dad would with his own drum set. Matthew started playing drums seriously when he was just 10 years old and then going into High School he would find himself using his skills to play in 2-3 bands at a time. He would also use his skills to record demos along with running sound at many music venues on the weekend. This led to Matthew deciding to go to Full Sail University to pursue a career in live sound reinforcement.
Matthew received his Degree from Full Sail University in 2008, which opened many doors for him as an audio engineer. Including, working in the Vegas scene for various shows and celebrities. While all the doors were seeming to open for Matthew the partying of Vegas seemed to catch up with him. After many hours of contemplation, he decided it was time to move to Hawaii where his uncle was a pastor. This led to Matthew completely surrendering his heart to the Lord.
The hand of God has been on Matthews life and at many times it has been apparent that there has been an absolute spiritual battle over him. Thankfully God wins every time. He has freed Matthew from drug addiction, given him a beautiful wife, Brooklyn and an extremely supportive church family at LIFECHURCH7. Matthew served faithfully for 2 years and is now on staff at LC7 as the Worship Arts Technical Director where he now trains and inspires others in the audio field.
Matthew continues to grow spiritually and continues to grow with Prevail in all that God has called him to in this band and as an individual.
